Our shipping guidelines are designed to guarantee the well-being of our reptiles during transit and to provide you with a seamless experience. Please review our detailed shipping policies below:
General Shipping Information
- Shipping Days: We ship reptiles Monday through Wednesday to avoid weekend delays. Orders placed after 10 AM on Wednesday will be shipped the following Monday.
- Shipping Carrier: All reptiles are shipped via overnight delivery using FedEx or a similar reputable carrier to ensure they arrive as quickly and safely as possible.
- Weather Conditions: Shipping is contingent on safe weather conditions. We monitor temperatures closely and will notify you if there are any delays due to extreme weather.
Packaging
- Secure Enclosures: Reptiles are placed in secure, well-ventilated containers with appropriate padding to prevent movement and stress during transit.
- Temperature Control: We use heat packs or cold packs as needed to maintain a stable temperature within the shipping box, ensuring the reptiles’ comfort and safety.
- Labeling: Each package is clearly labeled with “Live Animal” and “Fragile” to alert handlers to take extra care.
Before You Order
- Legal Compliance: Ensure that the species you wish to purchase is legal in your state or country. We comply with all local, state, and federal regulations and cannot ship to areas where certain reptiles are prohibited.
- Correct Address: Verify that your shipping address is accurate and that someone will be available to receive the package upon delivery. This helps minimize stress on the animal by preventing prolonged exposure to transit conditions.
Receiving Your Reptile
- Inspection: Upon arrival, carefully inspect the reptile and its condition. If you have any concerns about the animal’s health or well-being, contact us immediately.
- Acclimation: Allow the reptile to acclimate to its new environment by placing it in its prepared enclosure and giving it time to adjust. Minimize handling for the first 24-48 hours to reduce stress.
- Support: Our team is available to answer any questions you may have about your new reptile’s care and acclimation process.
Live Arrival Guarantee
- Coverage: We guarantee live arrival for all shipped reptiles, provided that the recipient is present to receive the package on the first delivery attempt.
- Exceptions: Our live arrival guarantee does not apply if the package is left unattended, if the delivery is missed, or if the shipping address provided is incorrect.
- Notification: In the unlikely event of an issue, please notify us within 4 hours of receiving your shipment. We may request photos or videos to assess the situation and determine the best course of action.
Returns and Refunds
- Health Assurance: If your reptile arrives in poor health or does not survive the journey, we will offer a replacement or refund. Documentation of the condition is required within 4 hours of receipt.
- Non-Refundable Items: Shipping costs are non-refundable, except in cases where the issue was caused by our handling or error.
- Returns: Due to the nature of live animals, we do not accept returns. Please ensure you are fully prepared and committed before making a purchase.
